Overview of ESI Connections

Roland Duchatelet bought Charlton in 2014; within months he had made himself very unpopular, and alienated most of the fanbase permanently. So there was jubilation in December 2019 when a group called East Street Investments (ESI) announced it was ready to pay Duchatelet‘s improbable asking price. However it took only a month for the new ownership to start unravelling; a process which continued for nine months and became increasingly bizarre. These pages document what Charlton fans have found out about the people involved. Some of them have been involved in other clubs, both before and after their involvement with Charlton. So fans of all clubs can be forewarned if any of these people attempt to get involved at their club.

Clicking on an individual photo brings up a brief summary of the person involved. At the end of that summary the “Read more” button may open up a further more detailed page; these are extracts from the detail dossiers we have built up, however in most cases we have more significant information. We will be happy to supply full dossiers to relevant authorities; and to accredited journalists and Supporters Trusts of other clubs after a brief dialogue to establish mutual trust.
